To Our Customers...
I’m excited to share an update about Dixie Electric. As you know, we’ve been focused on improving our business and strengthening the services we provide to you and your team. This includes taking a look at our brand and how we present ourselves.
We want to make sure our brand accurately reflects the services we provide while also expressing who we are as a company. In fact, many do not know that Dixie Electric is part of a larger family of brands. We think it’s time for that to change.
We are a company of companies, each with its own rich history and deep roots within the communities we serve. But what really sets us apart, and strengthens us as a company, is the fact that we are part of a larger team. The Expanse team.
Our established regional brands are able to provide customers like you the local service you need, but with the backing and support of a larger company when we need it. This is one example of how Dixie Electric stands apart from others in the industry, and we are excited to share that our logo now reflects this differentiator.
We invite you to watch the brief video below that we think shares our new logos in a unique and fun way. One that is true to who we are, and shows how this brand evolution is tied to our overall effort to continue to improve so we are the best possible service provider for you and your team. (You can access the video by clicking on this link.)
While our logo (and those of our sister companies) might look a bit different, our company itself is not changing. We are still the same team, dedicated to providing you with the best service and to developing the best, most qualified craftsman. We’ve put a few Frequently Asked Questions together regarding our brand changes. If you have a question that we don’t address, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
We look forward to continuing to work with you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are we updating the different company logos?
We’ve spent the last year working to improve our business so we can strengthen as a company and unify in a way that we haven’t in the past. One of the next steps in this journey to “reenergize” is to modernize and align the logos of our different brands so they reflect the fact that we are all part of one team – the Expanse team.
While our customers may do business with us through one of our regional brands, we are all ultimately part of one team. A team dedicated to providing the best service to our customers. It’s time for us to more clearly articulate that to the outside world, and consistency and familiarity among our family of brands will help.
Why are we changing the Expanse parent company name?
Our name should be a clear and strong reflection of the business we are in, which is why we decided to change the name of the parent company from Expanse Energy Solutions to Expanse Electrical Company.
What will change for our customers?
You will start to see our new logos on service trucks, paperwork and other communications from the company, including our company invoices. Otherwise nothing about our re-brand should trigger changes for our customers.
Does this name change trigger the need to set up new service agreements with our customers?
No, nothing about this should impact our existing Master Service Agreements (MSAs) with our customers. We are changing the legal name of Expanse, but the company itself is not changing. Similar to when Expanse was formed, we have worked with our legal team to ensure the necessary paperwork is filed to support our name change while also enabling us to continue to do business as (DBA filing) our different regional brands.
If you have any questions about this, please feel free to reach out to a member of the team and we will work to answer it as quickly as possible.
Will we need to negotiate new contracts or terms with vendors?
No, our updated logos and company name should not trigger us to renegotiate any terms or agreements we have with our current vendors. We value the partnership we have with our current vendor base and will continue to work with them to ensure we provide our customers with the service they expect and when they expect it. This name change should not cause any interruption in our business with our vendors or our customers.
